The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed for a day next week on the occasion of Muharram. Traders and investors need to stay informed about the significant stock market holiday as the BSE has issued a notification in this regard over the suspension of trade in the key sectors on this day — SLB, equity, equity derivatives, currency
derivatives, and interest rate derivatives among others.

In addition to weekends, the holiday calendar of NSE includes several national and cultural observances. Accordingly, the NSE and BSE will remain shut on July 17, 2024, in observance of Muharram.
